Christopher Reeve's Wife Endorses Kerry
Dana Reeve, the wife of recently departed Christopher Reeve, endorsed Senator Kerry last Thursday. She and Chris were publically opposed to George W. Bush's radical position to ignore the scientific community on the issue of stem cell research.
Bush has closed many doors to this research, and instead advocates the position of his evangelical religious base who believes the "world is flat." They ignore science, and prevent us from finding solutions to life-theatening illnesses such as diabetes, Parkinson's disease, cancer and more. Dana Reeve's Endorsement (450k QT Movie)

Bush Supressing CIA 9/11 Report
George W. Bush continues efforts to hide the truth about his failures on 9/11 from the American public. Robert Sheer of the Los Angeles Times calls this news
"shocking." The Bush administration is suppressing a CIA report on 9/11
until after the election, and this one names names. The report by the CIA
inspector general's office was completed in June, yet George
W. Bush refuses to make it available to the congressional intelligence
committees that mandated the study almost two years ago.
Bush initially blocked the formation of the 9/11 Commission. He denied the release
of a complete section, over 28 pages, from the Congressional investigation
regarding ties between Saudi Arabia and 9/11. The Bush administration
refuses to allow Americans to hear the truth about this catastrophic
event -- because George W. Bush blew it!
"It is infuriating that a report which shows that high-level people were not doing their jobs in a satisfactory manner before 9/11 is being suppressed," an intelligence official who has read the report told me, adding that "the report is potentially very embarrassing for the administration, because it makes it look like they weren't interested in terrorism before 9/11, or in holding people in the government responsible afterward." If you stop by the KerryEdwards Victory 2004 campaign headquarters, you might be lucky to meet Jessi (left) and Roey (right). These two bright, energetic and hard working young ladies help out with the campaign when they are not in school. They want to know that they'll be able to grow up in an America that is safe, where their water and air is clean, and where they can use their educations to land good jobs.
This is why they are supporting Senators Kerry and Edwards. These are two of America's "Best and Brightest." We applaud their efforts!
Aluminum Tubes and Web of Deception
At a crucial juncture on the path to war, the Bush administration asserted that Saddam Hussein was rebuilding his nuclear weapon program. Speaking in September 2002, Vice President Dick Cheney said the United States now had "irrefutable evidence" of Saddam's revitalized program. This evidence was thousands of tubes made of high-strength aluminum, tubes the Bush administration claimed were destined for clandestine Iraqi uranium centrifuges.
Condoleezza Rice, the president's national security adviser, said the tubes were "only really suited for nuclear weapons programs," and explained on CNN on Sept. 8, 2002. "We don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud."
We know today that Saddam Hussein wasn't reconstituting his nuclear program. What we have recently learned is leading nuclear scientists and experts in the U.S. and around the world told the Bush administration that the tubes were unsuitable for nuclear weapon production. The American public was deceived in a web of lies and distortions.

Canines 4 Kerry
Time for a bit of fun. As campaigns seem to be going to the dogs... well then, let's do it right. The Victory 2004 Kerry/Edwards headquarters held a Canines 4 Kerry rally Saturday. Hundreds of canines showed up, and not one said they were supporting George W. Bush. I guess that's why we refer to our canine kids as Man's Best Friends. Keep hope alive!
Moore: Bush Must Go
Speaking in Albuquerque at the University of New Mexico "Pit" on Sunday, Michael Moore made it clear that George W. Bush Must Go. Bush Must Go!
Mr. Moore says publicly what a MAJORITY of Americans are saying privately. We have had enough of the lies, the deceptive and misleading manipulations of the truth, which have led to an unnecessary rush to war in Iraq, left al-Qaeda stronger in the world, alienated us from our allies, taken us backward on the environment, moved us away from science on stem cell research, taken rights away from women and minorities, and pushed more Americans into poverty, leaving them without health care or access to quality education.
This redefined Republican leadership, led by radical neo-con extremists, must lie and deceive the public, as they represent only a small, although powerful, talented and extremely efficient, segment of American society.
Michael called on the standing room only audience to "pledge" to dedicate themselves, to get their friends and family members involved, and to work through the election to bring regime change to America. If you are not involved, contact us. Join the revolution to return America to the path that made this country great. This is the most important election of your lifetime!
Kristen Lost Her Husband on 9/11
Matthew Most writes, "Before Sept. 11, 2001, all Kristen Breitweiser wanted in the way of worldly responsibility was to tend to her garden and care for her infant daughter, Caroline."
"After watching my husband get murdered on live worldwide television," she said, "everything changed." Kristen Breitweiser, a 33-year-old New Jersey widow, is a victim of the 9/11 attacks. Ms. Breitweiser and her husband Ron, who was killed on 9/11, both voted for George W. Bush in 2000. They considered themselves to be Republicans. Now, wearing her husband's wedding band, the only evidence of his life to be recovered at Ground Zero, Breitweiser now supports Senators Kerry and Edwards.
"I would love to have heard President Bush and the Republicans in Congress say, 'Here's what we'll do better.' But they didn't do that. They circled the wagons, they stonewalled, they blocked, they foot-dragged," she said in a recent interview.
Ms. Breitweiser offers a blistering account of the obstacles she faced during a three-year battle to start the nation toward a new intelligence system. Kristen believes America can do better. This is one American woman who understands the painful and tragic truth about the corrupt Bush administration.
Americans Want Change on Iraq Policy

Women make better voters than men -- because they listen. And, women prefer John Kerry, because he's strong, yet compassionate. He's intelligent, and considers all at facts before leaping. Most importantly, John Kerry is not afraid to change tactics as events on the ground change.
John Kerry will not take a month vacation to create his image while leaving our country vulnerable to a terrorist attack. John Kerry knows who he is. The women of America know John Kerry as well.
John Kerry has a comprehensive health care plan. Bush has no plan.
John Kerry will fully fund education. Bush only talks.
John Kerry supports overtime pay. Bush takes it away.
John Kerry supports infant early nutrition programs. Bush cuts these programs.
John Kerry supports early childhood education (K-6) and after school
programs. Bush cancels these.
John Kerry fights for environmental safey. Mercury in food kills kids, not just terrorists.
Bush takes us into a quadmire in Iraq, while allowing terrorists like Usama bin Laden to remain at large.
CBO: Bush Tax Policy Favors Wealthy
These findings don't surprise Middle Class America, and they confirm the fears workers expressed when Bush initially demanded extreme tax refunds for the most wealthy. Today's announcement (Aug. 13th), from the Republican directed Congressional Budget Office, further intensifies the national debate over appropriate tax reform. Voters now have a clear picture of the difference between John Kerry and George Bush. Decide for yourself: Which candiate will provide the fairest tax policy for you and your family?
Summary of Bush Tax Reductions (average figures)
Households earning over $1.2 million a year (top one percent) receive $78,460 per year: [6.5% rebate]
Households earning $57,000 a year (middle 20 percent) receive $1,090 per year: [1.9% rebate]
Households earning $16,620 a year (bottom 20 percent) receive $250 per year: [1.5% rebate]
For our nation's poorer families, their refund amounts to about $20 a month. A House Republican aide quipped, "The report shows that you are better off now than you were before the tax cuts..." This is what Bush calls Compassionate Conservatism.
Bush trickles down a miserly $50 bucks a month to a married mid-level worker, yet bonuses a wealthy business exec with about $3,500 a month. That's why they're driving extravagant H2 Hummers and vacationing for a month each summer in Crawford.
At the same time, skyrocketing health care costs and prescription drug prices, wild fluctuations in basic amenities, such as dairy products, chicken and beef, gas and heating oil, and tuition at colleges and universities, have exceeded the Bush relief package. Ninety dollars a month, for a family of four, is not even keeping pace with the rate of inflation.
More importantly, as the Recent Labor Reports illustrate, many Americans risk losing their jobs. The question is: Are you better off under Bush's leadership?
