Fox: Fair and Balanced or Right Wing Propaganda?

InfoImagination is aware of the accusations by many journalism experts charging Fox News with biased reporting. While they promise "fair and balanced" programming, this seems laughable to many citizens on the left side of our political spectrum. What do you think? Is Fox fair and balanced as they advertise?

Pictures Speak Louder Than Words

While it may be difficult to categorize Fox News as biased either to the "right" or "left," we post a number of photos that show errors (apparently accidental) that consistently portray an intential bias in political reporting. Is it believable that a sophisticated and modern communications company can make so many errors, always favoring conservatives, and convince us these are accidents, slopping editing, or unintentional typos?

Example #1: Arlen Spector, a Republican who has been highly critical of both Bush's war policy in Iraq and the performance of Attorney General Gonzales, is labeled "D" for Democrat.

Example #2: Mark Foley, a Republican Congressman from Florida discovered to be soliciting homosexual encounters with underage male pages (interns or high school students who work in the Congress), yet is labeled by Fox as a Democrat.

Example #3: Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney's former Chief of Staff, convicted and sentenced to a prison term for lying to the U.S. Special Prosecutor regarding the outing of an undercover CIA agent, is wrongly announced by Fox in their video segment to be "not guilty."

Example #4: Whitehouse v. Chafee, in the race for one of the two Rhode Island U.S. Senate seats, Fox lists the leader, Sheldon Whitehouse, as a Republican while listing Lincoln Chafee, who was seeking re-election and trailed in the poll, as the Democrat -- which is the reverse of the actual political affiliations.

Example #5: Arlen Spector, not only does Fox have a problem with their TV coverage, but they make similar "mistakes" on their website as well.
