Hussein Oueis and Mackey
Hussein is the youngest Board member with the NHPNA. This year the group voted to include up to two "under 18" representatives
on the board. As our community faces many youth-based initiatives, the NHPNA membership believe it's important to listen to what younger
people have to say on issues.
Hussein is a Senior at Manzano HS. He's shown here with his dog, Mackey. Hussein plans to attend UNM next fall. His interests include
skateboarding, working in his father's gas station and playing on his computer. Hussein originally immigrated to Albuquerque, as his family
escaped war-torn Lebanon. Hussein, his parents and three sisters cherish the wonderful freedoms we enjoy in the United States.
Scott and AnnMarie Goold
Although Scott is technically the president of the NHPNA, he and his wife, AnnMarie, are equally devoted
to furthering the interests of area residents. Scott grew up in Idaho, and came to UNM to pursue his Ph.D. in Political Science.
He spent the 90s working as a research director in public policy. Presently, he conducts health policy research and develops websites.
AnnMarie is a native of Albuquerque, growing up a short distance from their home in the New Holiday Park. She graduated with honors from St. Pius X High School
and earned a degree in Political Science from the University of New Mexico in 1994. AnnMarie directs a customer service division at Delta Dental
Plan of New Mexico.
