Give Greener Cars the Green Light
The debate about global warming has moved from "is it happening?" to "how do we slow it down?", yet meaningful action at the federal level is a ways off.

The Bush administration EPA continues to block California and 11 other states from implementing tailpipe standards to reduce global warming pollution from cars and SUVs. For nearly a year and a half, the EPA has refused to grant a stamp of approval (called a Clean Air Act "waiver"), and air pollution is higher than it needs to be.

The public comment period ends this Friday, June 15th, so take action right away in support of state-level efforts to combat global warming. Send a letter to the EPA today

President Bush: No Pardon for Scooter Libby!
Scooter Libby, who served as Assistant to the President and Vice Presidential Chief of Staff until his indictment on perjury and obstruction of justice charges, has now been sentenced to 30 months in jail. However, many are now speculating that President Bush will pardon Libby -- either in the near future or at the end of his presidential term.

This would be a grave miscarriage of justice. Libby's collusion in, and attempted coverup of, the "outing" of covert CIA agent Valerie Plame directly endangered our national security. Tell Bush: Scooter Libby does NOT deserve a pardon

Tell the FCC: Don't Give Away Our Airwaves to AT&T
The Federal Commmunications Commission (FCC) is about to give away a huge chunk of our public airwaves to the giant telecom companies, such as AT&T and Verizon, who want to make our Internet less free.

Broadcast television channels will soon vacate a very valuable piece of the broadcast spectrum when they are required to go digital by 2009. However, the FCC has devised an auction process that is rigged to favor only the biggest of the multinational telecoms -- and will sell off the most prized part of the digital spectrum at a fraction of its potential value. Tell Big Oil -- Don't Drill in the Arctic

Drill in the Arctic and You'll Lose Our Business

Through a back room deal, Congress has included language into the annual budget that allows for drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. However, there is still another way to protect the Arctic from drilling -- by pledging to boycott any oil company that drills in the Arctic.

We will continue to fight this battle legislatively, but in the meantime, it's time for us to use our combined purchasing power to stop big oil from destroying one of the last great wild areas of our country. If they won't drill, the Refuge will be safe.

Sign the pledge today, and once we hit 50,000 pledges (and every 50,000 thereafter), we'll send them off to all of the major oil companies to put them on notice and let them know they'll lose our business if they break ground in ANWR.
