JOB LOSSES AND OUTSOURCING
George Bush was the first President ever since Herbert Hoover to preside over an administration that witnessed significant losses of jobs. During Bushís term, over 3 million jobs were cut, and to date, these jobs have not been recovered. Part of the reason for job losses was outsourcing, shipping jobs overseas.
TAX CUTS & DEFICITS
Bush approved record deficits in a time of recession, war, terrorism and tax cuts. Budget was in surplus when Bush took office; $521 billion deficit is projected this year. Bush has not detailed an economic program for the next four years but has made a priority out of extending the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts and make them permanent to ensure continued economic growth.

The Forbes Magazine gave out its 23rd annual ranking of the 400 richest people in America, the combined net worth of the nation's wealthiest climbed to $1 trillion, up $45 billion in 12 months.

It was never a huge issue until President Bush announced in his 2003 State of Union speech that he would propose a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. The reaction to his speech was mass same-sex marriages as a form of protest for being targeted. People accused Bush of using this issue as a way to divert peopleís attention from all his policy and administrative failures.
