January 1997 to May 1998:
Research Director for the Center for Opinion Research at the Institute for Social Research (ISR) of the University of New Mexico. Responsible for the collection, analysis and evaluation of public opinion data using a computer-equipped telephone survey laboratory. Focused on sampling methodology as well as substantive issues. Duties included grant and proposal writing, direction and management of the research facility, analysis and report writing, hiring and training of staff, data base management, electronic archiving and general supervision of daily operations.
May 1996 to May 1998:
Research Associate assigned to the New Mexico's Criminal and Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (CJJCC) Information Technology Advisory Group. Focused on integrating electronic data bases and computer communications between five judicial entities: law enforcement, district attorneys, local and state courts, correction facilities and the juvenile justice sector.
August 1991 to December 1995:
Survey Research Center Manager for the University of New Mexico's Institute for Public Policy. Supervised and directed telephone and mail survey projects. Managed staff of up to 60 employees. Primary duties included recruitment and training of interviewers and supervisory personnel, CATI programming, information and system management, questionnaire design and instrument pretesting, focus group recruitment, and sample analysis.
